25 years, 25 icons
The ICON Collection
Some things become iconic because they are instantly recognisable. Others become iconic because they refuse to be anything else.
For its 25th anniversary, SOFIE SCHNOOR has brought together 25 pieces that trace the references, attitudes and contrasts that have shaped the brand since its beginning in 2001.
The result is The ICON Collection.
Twenty-five icons. One concentrated expression of the SOFIE SCHNOOR universe.
To introduce it, the brand chose someone who understands the idea of personal style without needing to explain it.
Veneda Carter.
An icon in her own right
Veneda Carter
Danish-born and internationally recognised for her work as a stylist and creative, Veneda Carter has developed a visual language of her own.
Her approach to fashion is instinctive rather than formulaic. There is confidence in it, but never the sense that confidence needs to be announced. That made her a natural choice for the anniversary collection.
SOFIE SCHNOOR has always been interested in contrasts. Carter embodies many of the same ones: strength with softness, femininity with edge, elegance with attitude.
Her way of wearing clothes feels personal.
And that matters.
Because the idea behind the ICON Collection is not to recreate the past exactly as it was. It is to take the things that have mattered and see what they look like now.

The number is deliberately simple. Twenty-five years. Twenty-five icons.
But the collection is less about chronology than memory. Music. Subcultures. Copenhagen. The late 1980s and early 1990s. Rock'n'roll. French attitude. Nordic restraint. These references have appeared in different forms throughout SOFIE SCHNOOR's history. For the ICON Collection, they have been brought together and distilled into a contemporary wardrobe.
Sharp tailoring sits alongside softness. Feminine pieces carry an edge. Minimal silhouettes are given attitude.
The result is recognisably SOFIE SCHNOOR without being trapped by its own history.
That distinction is important.
An anniversary collection could easily become nostalgic. The ICON Collection is more interested in what happens when familiar references are given a new context

A shared language
For Sofie Schnoor, the collection is personal.
“The ICON Collection brings together the references that have shaped my work from the beginning. I wanted to bring all of that into one collection. It feels very personal to me, because every piece connects back to something that has been part of the SOFIE SCHNOOR universe over the past 25 years.”
- Sofie Schnoor, Founder & Creative Director
There is a sense of an archive here, but not in the traditional sense. Rather than reproducing old favourites, the collection takes the underlying ideas - the attitude, the contrasts, the cultural references - and translates them into something intended to be worn now.
The same thinking applies to the materials. Premium qualities such as silk, leather and cashmere give the collection a tactile dimension, chosen not simply for how they look, but for how they feel, wear and evolve over time.
Character is important. So is quality. And longevity.
The pieces are designed to have a life beyond the season, which perhaps makes them appropriate icons. Not because they belong to a particular moment, but because they can move through different ones.
The choice of Veneda Carter completes the idea. The clothes have a history. Carter brings a contemporary perspective.
Between the two is the space where personal style happens. That has always been central to SOFIE SCHNOOR. The clothes are part of the expression, but they are not the whole expression.
There is room for interpretation. Room for contradiction. Room to make something your own.
Twenty-five years after Sofie Schnoor began building the brand from Copenhagen, those original contrasts are still there: rock'n'roll and femininity, strength and softness, minimalism and edge.
Only now, there are 25 more pieces to tell the story.
25 Styles. One DNA.
Stay Iconic.
